How to Install your LEDs

LED Installation Videos

General LEDs Installation

1. Gain access to the bulb.  This may involve removing a clear cover, peeling back interior lining, or opening your hood.

2. Remove the stock bulb.

3. Plug in the LED into the socket.

4. Test the LED by turning on the light.

5. If the LED doesn't light up, don't fret.  Just unplug it, turn it around, and reinstall it.  LEDs require a specific polarity to work.

6. Place the bulb back into the socket.

7. Enjoy!

LED Headlights / EasySeal

Do you have a headlight with a rear cover or a rubber grommet or a cap on the back?

Most LED Headlights won't work with rear covers. Well at SupernovaLEDs.com, we have a solution.

Our EasySeal Headlight Sealing system provides a flexible replacement cover that can seal your headlights, keeping dust and water out! You can even use LEDs with fans in the back, which are brighter and more reliable than LEDs that are passively cooled.

Passively cooled LED headlights with ribbon cables can't disperse as much heat and draw it away from the LED as well as a fan that actually expels the heat from inside the headlight.

Supernova LEDs recommends LEDs with fans for this reason, and we'll give you a solution where you don't have to cut up your factory cover or grommet with our EasySeal. Please add the EasySeal option when buying headlights that require a rear cover.

Turn Signals and Hyperblink

When changing your Turn Signals to LEDs, you will need a hyperblink fix in order to make the LEDs flash at the normal speed.
